Short Treks

Leaving Pikey BC © Alex Treadway

A short trek is a great way to get into the mountains in 2 – 8 days, without committing the time or effort to get over high passes or into high altitude.

Short treks range from easy but that’s “Himalayan” easy so do expect some challenges along the way). They have short daily walking hours with plenty of time to recover or explore the villages in the afternoons.

And there are the more strenuous treks – they have some bigger ups and downs to conquer and longer daily walking hours if you’re up for more of a challenge or are an experienced trekker.

Whether you want to be off the beaten path, or would like to explore one of the classic routes, the one thing in common with our short treks is that they’re all beautiful!

One of the best mountain experiences of my life. Travel doesn't get easier than with the Himilayan trails team. I got to sit back and enjoy the experience while they took care of me along the way. The guides know everything and everyone and are easy to trust and fun to be around for long periods of time. This team knows what really counts when making exceptional experiences. Look no further for guided travel perfection.

I trekked the Pikey Peak for my 50th birthday with my sister and it was fabulous. We experienced a flooding disaster with heavy rain and weren't able to complete parts of the trek but our tour guides were fabulous and kept us safe and happy. Tendu, Tenjee and Dolma were awesome becoming more then guides, but friends. I highly recommend Himalayan-Trails for any adventure in Nepal. I will be back for sure. Thanks Team Himalayan-Trails

The most professional and well-run trekking company I've ever trekked with in Nepal. From start to end we felt taken care of, well informed and in good hands. Our guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area we were trekking in (he is from the area), as well as the local culture and traditions. We were trekking with children aged 7 and 9, and he was able to make route adjustments when needed for tired legs. The kids made a big friend. The lodges were all great, it was a really nice diverse trek with gorgeous mountains and rich culture, even with a stay at a Buddhist Monastery. The driver who drove us to and from the trek was very good and despite the many bad roads in Nepal he drove us safely and comfortably around.
